Creating a gîte: between chaos and charm in Pionsat

Opening a gîte... sounds like a dream, doesn't it? And it's true - but it's also a bit of a crazy dream, with days when you're lifting a 100-kilo table for 14 people, with no armchair in sight, and the Wi-Fi disappearing just as you're about to publish the website.

Welcome to our adventure: Le Cœur d'Estourgie, Pionsat, a charming village in the heart of the Auvergne. A former village hotel, our house is gradually being transformed into a welcoming place for families, friends or quiet retreats.

The last few months have been a mixture of excitement, screws and paintbrushes. Choosing the right light fittings, assembling furniture (without losing the instructions), and discovering - sometimes a little too late - that the keys to some rooms have decided to hide.

But despite the hectic pace, it's great to see this place come to life! It's spacious, warm and full of character. Here, you can enjoy your morning coffee overlooking the hills, dine under the pergola while the children play by the pond or wave to the sheep in the garden.

Is it all over? Not just yet. There are still some bare walls, a living room without cushions, and a few corners of the garden to polish up. But the main thing is there: the soul of the house.

And if you'd like to follow our project, find out what goes on behind the scenes and see the first real photos (as soon as the sofa is installed!), don't hesitate to follow us on Instagram and Facebook. The links are at the bottom of this page.

We look forward to welcoming you soon to our little corner of paradise.
